What is Independent Living?
If you didn’t travel here from Nevada The Roadmap through Innovative Partnerships (Nevada TRIP) website, please click the logo to visit. The Nevada TRIP interactive website is a powerful tool helping students with disabilities, their parents, and educators navigate the process from elementary to middle to high school and beyond to adult life and independence.
It’s publicly available through a Visitor’s Pass and offers student registration in three pilot districts: Carson City, Humboldt and White Pine.
There are more districts to come soon!
- Spring 2026: Douglas, Nye, Pershing
- Spring 2027: Elko, Eureka, Lander, Lincoln, Lyon, Washoe
- Spring 2028: Churchill, Clark, Esmeralda, Mineral, Storey, and the State Public Charters

Equal Access & Inclusion
Whether it’s through education, employment, housing, or community life, you have the right to fully participate in society. We connect you with the tools and services that make independence possible.
Self-Advocacy & Self-Respect
Speaking up for yourself is a powerful skill. Learn how to understand your rights, communicate your needs, and advocate for the support you deserve.

Your voice matters. Laws and policies shape opportunities for people with disabilities, and you have the power to make a difference. Whether it’s by voting, joining advocacy efforts, or engaging with lawmakers, you can help create a more accessible and inclusive world.
